Intensive individual self awareness coaching a major platform for continued growth and differentiation, says MD.

Simplicity – one of the UK’s leading providers of outsourced back office and financial services – has successfully completed a series of unique in-house training programmes for its staff as part of a programme to meet the company’s five year growth strategy, with a twin focus on customer service and personal development in the fast growing outsourced company.

All of the 30 members of staff at the Mitcheldean-based company have undergone a neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) diploma in Business Communication with ‘Selling Success’ and ‘Training Minds’ to help enhance Simplicity’s service to its clients, predominantly in the recruitment sector, but also to differentiate them in the market and continue growing the business to meet its target of £100 million turnover by 2015.

According to Simplicity MD, David Thornhill: “We’re widely acknowledged as the industry innovator and have notched up an impressive track record of supporting the recruitment sector with a range of products – each one pioneers in the markets in which we operate. Our ever-growing customer base and portfolio of services puts added pressure on our people – all of whom bring special skills to the business – and this tailored ‘academy of excellence’ allows us to get to the next level in terms of superior performance. This initiative helps us to not only differentiate ourselves from competitors but importantly enhance and improve the opportunities for each of the valued team members.”

Simplicity is an ISO 9001 compliant company and an award-winning supplier of financial services to the UK recruitment industry, ranging from funding and administration to full outsourcing of back office and an umbrella scheme for recruiters, contractors and temps.

Ian Knowlson from Selling Success and Dr Phil Jackson from Training Minds are experts in delivering management, sales, and personal development training; they teach NLP techniques to develop the communication skills that help create powerful interpersonal relationships amongst staff and with customers, and use natural communication styles to understand what customers’ business challenges are.

Ian Knowlson, managing director of Selling Success, said: “The NLP qualification is an internationally recognised business communication diploma, which provides individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to improve their working relationships with each other and their customers, and turn this into profitable sales. The techniques we teach give people a greater understanding of how we all communicate differently and of the various options we can choose from to respond. It’s particularly important in a business to understand the challenges your customers are facing and this training will help employees to provide a more flexible response.”

David Thornhill, added: “It’s a particularly exciting time for Simplicity, as we’re working incredibly hard to reach our 2015 goal and are putting several objectives in place to achieve this ambitious target. The NLP training supports personal development on a number of levels in our organisation including enabling our staff to understand how the team works as a whole and where they sit as individuals in the business. We have also renewed our ISO 9001 certification, which demonstrates the continually high standards we as a team provide to our customers.”
