Supporting Teenagers in Crisis: How Tracy and the Team are Making a Difference

In a world where many teenagers face unprecedented challenges, every effort to support their well-being counts. Tracy Wintle, Collections Executive and Mental Health First Aider, along with the dedicated team at Simplicity have lead one such noble endeavour. With a passion for giving back and a heart full of empathy, Tracy has spearheaded various initiatives to raise funds for TIC (Teenagers in Crisis), a charity thatworks to ensure that every young person has easy, prompt, independent access to appropriate support according to their needs.

Sweet Bowl Fundraiser: A Simple Act with a Big Impact

Tracy’s journey began with a sweet bowl and a piggy bank in the Simplicity kitchen. After becoming a Mental Health First Aider, she sought a way to support TIC while boosting morale at work. The sweet bowl allows colleagues to enjoy treats for a small donation, with all proceeds benefiting TIC. This ongoing initiative has turned a simple snack into a meaningful way for everyone to contribute.

Fun Forest Dog Walk: A Month-Long Challenge

Tracy organised a month-long dog walking challenge, inviting participants to log the miles walked with their pets. Over the month, dog walkers from Simplicity tracked their total mileage, raising awareness and funds for TIC with each step. This initiative raised community spirit and highlighted the benefits of regular exercise for both dogs and their owners.

Fashion Forward: A Stylish Fundraising Event

Tracy’s latest project was a fashion show featuring Simplicity staff modelling outfits from a local boutique—the event, which included ticket sales and a raffle, combined elegance with purpose. The impressive turnout and funds raised underlined the power of the community and Tracy’s dedication to the cause.

Children’s Book Initiative: Promoting Literacy and Support

In addition to her other efforts, Tracy launched a children’s book donation drive. Staff are encouraged to buy and donate books, with proceeds going directly to TIC. This initiative supports both literacy and the charity’s mission, positively impacting teenagers in need.

    Fundraising Milestones: Celebrating Success

The fundraising efforts for TIC have already achieved remarkable success, with an impressive total of £1,656.30 raised so far, showcasing the team’s collective spirit and generosity. We are excited to announce our new goal: to raise a total of £3,000.

This target reflects our commitment to further supporting TIC’s vital work with young people in crisis. Every contribution brings us closer to this milestone and significantly impacts the lives of those in need.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. Let’s keep the momentum and reach our £3,000 goal together. Your continued support is invaluable in making a lasting difference.

    Making a Lasting Impact

Every pound raised brings TIC closer to helping more teenagers navigate crises. Tracy Wintle’s support raises funds and increases awareness of the challenges many face today. As a parent of teenage boys, Tracy understands the crucial role TIC plays in the Forest of Dean, especially in supporting those who are vulnerable.

“Tracy’s support and contribution to TIC+ enables us to help so many young people in Gloucestershire, and that is invaluable; together, we are changing lives.” Claire Power-Browne, CEO, TIC+

This is a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together with compassion and determination. If you haven’t already, consider donating. More information is available here – https://www.ticplus.org.uk/. Every contribution makes a real difference in the lives of teenagers in crisis. Let’s continue to support this cause and build a brighter future for our youth.

By rallying around these initiatives, we can collectively make a significant impact. Thank you to Tracy and everyone who has contributed so far. Your efforts are making a difference, one step at a time.
